Bigg's Runecrafting Guide
All figures in this guide are for Realism and Iron account XP rates (10x XP). If you are playing on a Normal or Spawn account, simply halve the amount of resources required, as you gain 20x XP.
How to Start
Teleport to ::shop
- Click Shanomi and select the Tool section.
Levels 1–77: Tiaras or Death Talismans
For Realism and Iron accounts, you will require:
- 2,952 Tiaras / Death Talismans
- Total cost: 369M GP
If you are on a Spawn account, halve these figures.
Whilst this may seem expensive, this is the only recommended method for quickly reaching level 77.
Training Process
- After purchasing your supplies, go to the Abyss and 14 tiaras and 14 death talisman and enter the Death Altar
You can reach the abyss by teleporting to ::dh and running north to the wizard who has a teleport option.
- Use the death talismans on the altar.
- Teleport back home to bank.
- Repeat this process until you reach level 77.
Levels 77–90: Blood Runes
From level 77 onwards, you will craft Blood Runes using dense essence blocks.
Requirements
- 38 Mining
- 38 Crafting
- Pickaxe and chisel
Training Process
It is recommended to do steps 1-3 until you have 10.6k blocks (realism/irons) or 5.3k (spawn accounts)
1. Teleport from the tree at ::home to Dense Essence. 2. Mine essence blocks 3. Run to the dark altar to venerate the blocks and then bank the blocks.
(Once you have all blocks move to this section)
4. Take out 1 inventory of dense blocks and use your chisel on the venerated blocks to turn them into fragments. 5. Once you have chiselled down 1 inventory of blocks, fill the rest of your inventory with more blocks. 6. Go to the altar (blood or soul) and use the fragments on the altar Chisel down the additional blocks and use them on the altar too.
Levels 90–99: Soul Runes
From level 90 onwards, continue with dense essence blocks but switch to crafting Soul Runes.
Training Process
If you mine all the dense essence before starting, ignore the steps about mining the blocks.
- Follow the same process as Blood Runes (mine, venerate, chisel).
- Enter the Abyss and craft Soul Runes at the Soul Altar.
Alternate Method: Sunfire Runes (Money Making)
From level 33 onwards, you can create Sunfire Runes as an alternative money-making method.
Requirements
- 1 Sunfire Splinter
- 1 Fire Rune
- 1 Pure Essence
Training Process
- Bring the required items to the Fire Altar via the Abyss.
- Use the Sunfire Splinter on the altar.
- Each essence/splinter/fire rune combo produces 10 Sunfire Runes.
Note: This method is profitable but less efficient XP-wise.
