Araxytes

Unlike the Armoured Zombies, Araxytes are non-aggressive and will take significantly more effort to kill, as you must manually attack every Araxyte in the room.

Still, this method is worth considering because Araxytes offer some significant benefits:

• Damage from Araxytes can be fully blocked using Protect from Melee. This means you can use Chinchompas for high multi-target DPS, without needing healing as long as you keep your prayer active.
• There are usually 8 or more Araxytes in every room. Each Araxyte drops around 300k coins.
• Araxytes have two valuable rare drops:
  • Aranea boots – sells for a nice price to other players.
  • Araxyte head – can be used to change the appearance of your Slayer Helmet, or alched for a whopping 150 million coins.

Getting there

Araxytes can be found in the Morytania Spider Cave. To get there, go to the Spiritual Fairy Tree, select the "Dungeons" category, and choose the Morytania Spider Cave teleport.

Equipment setup

For this method, bring the best multicombat setup you have, either magic or ranged. Ranged setups can provide higher DPS, especially with Chinchompas (Black Chinchompas cost only 5k each in the store at home).

Whatever your combat style, you should bring a 2-tick attack speed ranged weapon (such as Rune Knives or a blowpipe). This allows you to aggro every spider in the room quickly before switching to your multicombat setup to kill them efficiently.

Two example budget setups

Magic setup

One of the strongest budget starter setups is a full Ahrim's set combined with an Amulet of the Damned, costing around 19 million coins.

Wearing the Amulet of the Damned with the full Ahrim's set grants these passive effects:

• Ahrim's staff can autocast Ancient Magicks.
• Every time you cast a combat spell, there is a 25% chance of its damage being increased by 30%.

The best budget ranged setup makes use of the Void set and Black Chinchompas for maximum DPS.
