Money Making
Money Making
Looking to build up your bank? There are several ways to earn GP depending on your stats, gear, and preferences. Here's a quick guide to help you get started:
For Newcomers
If you're just starting out and don’t have much GP, the best option is to follow the Slayer master at ::home. Slayer tasks give a steady stream of loot, and you’ll build up your combat stats and points to spend in the Slayer store.
If Slayer isn’t your thing, you can also try:
- Scurrius
- Catacombs of Kourend
- Armoured Zombies in Zemouregal's Base
Armoured Zombies are a great way to get started. Zemouregal's Base is a multicombat area with multiple spawn locations for packs of aggressive zombies. Each of these zombies will drop around 500k coins per kill, and that really starts to add up when you're killing 3-4 zombies at the same time. Additionally there's a chance to get a Zombie Axe drop, which will get you quite some GP if you sell it to other players.
It is recommended to use a magic setup with blood barrage for this method. While using melee protection prayer will fully block any incoming melee damage, some of the zombies also use range, so without any healing you will burn through your supplies fast.
One of the strongest budget starter setups you can use for this activity is a full Ahrim's set combined with an Amulet of the damned, which will only set you back about 19 million coins. Wearing the Amulet of the damned combined with the FULL Ahrim's set will grant you the following passive effects:
- Ahrim's staff can autocast Ancient Magicks.
- Everytime you cast a combat spell, there is a 25% chance of its damage being increased by 30%.
- Araxytes in the Morytania Spider Cave
Unlike the Armoured Zombies, Araxytes are non-aggressive and will take significantly more effort to kill because of the requirement to attack every Araxyte in the room manually.
Still, this is very much worth considering as Araxytes have some significant benefits also:
- Damage from Araxytes can be fully blocked using the melee protection prayer. This opens up the possibility of using Chinchompas because no healing will be needed along as you keep up your protection prayer.
- There are 8 or more Araxytes in every room, each Araxyte you kill will drop around 300k coins.
- Araxytes have two valuable rare drops:
1. The Aranea boots, which will fetch you a nice price if you sell it to other players.
2. The Araxyte head which you can either use to change the appearance of your Slayer Helmet OR you can alch it for 150 million coins.
For this method you will want to bring the best multicombat setup you have, that could be either a magic setup or a range setup. Range setups can offer higher dps because Chinchompas are a 3-tick weapon and the strongest variant, Black Chinchompas, are only 5k each in the store at home.
Regardless of the combat style you're using, you will want to bring a 2-tick attack speed ranged weapon like Rune Knives or a blowpipe. This is essential because you want to make sure you aggro every spider into the room as fast as possible, so you can then switch to your multicombat attack setup to kill them all as fast as possible.

Mass Bossing (Low Requirements)
Even with low stats or limited gear, you can still participate in mass bossing events that happen regularly. These include:
- Nex
- Scurrius
- Nightmare
- The Hueycoatl
Tip: Check where the masses are happening and adjust accordingly — it’s a great way to earn loot with a team.
High-Level PvM (Best GP/H)
For high-level players with strong setups, the best money per hour typically comes from:
- Phantom Muspah
- Raids – Tombs of Amascut (ToA), Theatre of Blood (ToB), Chambers of Xeric (CoX)
- Desert Treasure II Bosses
These require solid gear and game knowledge but offer some of the best profit potential in the game.
PvP for Profit
While PvP is generally less consistent GP/H than PvM, many players prefer it for the thrill and variety. By PKing, you can earn:
- Coins
- Seasonal event pearls
- Blood money
- Bounty points
Combine PvP fun with a steady income — just make sure you're geared and ready.
