How to get there
A free method to get to the KBD lair is to teleport to ::44s, then run east to the caged area, go down the ladder, and pull the lever.
Note: You will have to travel through the Wilderness to reach the boss. Only take items you are willing to potentially lose to a PKer.
Instances
If someone is already killing KBD when you enter the arena, do not worry. You can right-click the lever in the arena and create your own instance to fight KBD privately.
Gear and inventory recommendations
KBD is an easy boss and can even be semi-AFKed if you use a Crossbow with a Dragonfire shield or Ward setup, along with an Extended Antifire potion.
You should always use an Antifire potion, as even if you are using an antifire shield, you will still take small amounts of damage. This can be fully mitigated by using the potion.
Example inventory
Bring: extended antifire potion, bastion/super combat, sanfews (for poison and prayer)
Melee/Range
If using Ranged attacks
- Stand a few tiles away from KBD and attack.
- You do not need to use any protection prayers.

If using Scythe/Melee
- Attack in melee distance.
- Use Protect from Melee.
Kill Guide
- Enter the KBD lair and approach the boss.
- Engage KBD using either ranged or melee strategy as outlined above.
- Drink an Antifire potion before or during the fight to avoid dragon fire damage.
- Reapply potions as needed and focus on DPS.
