Cooking Guide

Buy cooking gauntlets from Shanomi at ::shop.

When you cook, wear these gloves as they will reduce the chance that you burn food.

Places to Cook

  • If you have used a bond, you can cook at the fire at ::di.
  • If you haven't, you can use the teleport tree at ::home to teleport to Catherby. There is a range east of the bank.

Levels 1-40 Cooking

From 1-40 Cooking, you cannot buy food to cook from Shanomi. It is recommended that you start Fishing until you reach level 40 Cooking.

Levels 40-50 Cooking

  • Buy raw lobsters from Shanomi at ::shop.
  • Make sure that you are wearing your cooking gauntlets to reduce burn chance.

Levels 50-80 Cooking

  • Buy raw swordfish from Shanomi at ::shop.
  • Continue wearing your cooking gauntlets.

At level 80, you stop burning swordfish on a range (per OSRS wiki). You could continue with swordfish, but monkfish becomes more efficient.

Levels 80-90 (or 99) Cooking

  • Buy raw monkfish from Shanomi at ::shop.
  • Continue wearing your cooking gauntlets.

If you use this method to 99, you will stop burning monkfish on a range (with the gauntlets) at level 86 Cooking.

Alternative Method: Levels 90-99

  • Buy raw shark from Shanomi at ::shop.
  • Make sure you are wearing your cooking gauntlets.
