Farming Guide

You can obtain all farming supplies by teleporting to the Farming Guide from the tree at ::home.

Talk to Amelia to find the farming shop.

Overview

This guide focuses on planting trees from level 30–99 Farming. Some trees are left out because it’s not convenient to get the items for their patch protection.

1–30 Farming

Buy the following from the store at the Farming Guild:

1. Rake
2. 45 Compost

Rake all patches that you can and then use compost on them. You should receive approximately:

• 120 XP for raking
• 180 XP for composting

There are many patches available, such as:

• North of Draynor cabbage patch
• Ectophial teleport then run west
• Catherby, then run north
• Ardougne, then run northeast out of the grounds
• Prifddinas
• Southwest corner of Hosidius – use Xeric’s Talisman (Xeric’s Glade)

Tree Runs Overview (30–99)

From 30–99, the method focuses on tree runs. Before starting, prepare teleports for all the tree patches.

All teleports can be bought at the Farming Guild shop under the “teleports” section.

Normal Tree Patches

• Falador: Tree teleport to 'Mole'

• Varrock: Varrock teleport tablet → run north to Varrock castle, patch is on the right

• Lumbridge: Lumbridge teleport tablet → run east through castle grounds

• Taverley: Taverley teleport tablet → run east then south at the gate

• Gnome Stronghold: Tree teleport to “Gnome Stronghold Agility Course” → run southwest

• Farming Guild (65 Farming): Tree teleport to “Farming Guild” → southwest section

Fruit Tree Patches

• Gnome Stronghold: Tree teleport to “Gnome Stronghold Agility Course” → run north

• Tree Gnome Village (optional): Teleport to ::cw → run south across bridge → east → then north

• Catherby: Tree teleport to “Catherby” → run southeast to beach end

• Brimhaven: Brimhaven teleport tablet → run north

• Lletya: Crystal teleport seed → run east briefly

• Farming Guild (85 Farming): Tree teleport to “Farming Guild” → north section

How to Create Saplings and Patch Protection

Creating Saplings

• Buy the corresponding seed, a watering can, and a plant pot from the Farming Guild shop.
• Use the seed on the plant pot, then water it.

Patch Protection

• Buy a basket and the items to fill it. Click the basket to fill automatically.
• If no basket is specified, just have the noted items in your inventory.
• Example: For Palm Trees, you need 15 papaya fruits (can be noted).

Tip: Buy an Amulet of Nature from the shop. It will notify you when trees are finished growing.

Items to Bring on Tree Runs

• Coins (to pay farmers)
• Protection items for patches
• Saplings
• Rake
• Spade
• Teleports to all patches

Leveling Path

30–33: Willow Trees

• Create Willow tree saplings
• Patch protection: 1 basket of 5 apples (per tree)

33–42: Willow Trees + Banana Trees

• Willow: Patch protection: 1 basket of 5 apples
• Banana: Patch protection: 4 baskets of 5 apples (can be noted)

42–45: Willow Trees + Curry Trees

• Willow: Patch protection: 1 basket of 5 apples
• Curry: Patch protection: 5 baskets of 5 bananas (can be noted)

45–57: Maple Trees + Curry Trees

• Maple: Patch protection: 1 basket of 5 oranges
• Curry: Patch protection: 5 baskets of 5 bananas (can be noted)

57–60: Maple Trees + Papaya Trees

• Maple: Patch protection: 1 basket of 5 oranges
• Papaya: Patch protection: 10 pineapples (can be noted)

60–68: Yew Trees + Papaya Trees

• +1 normal tree patch (Farming Guild unlocked at 65)
• Yew: Patch protection: 10 cactus spines (can be noted)
• Papaya: Patch protection: 10 pineapples (can be noted)

68–75: Yew Trees + Palm Trees

• Yew: Patch protection: 10 cactus spines (can be noted)
• Palm: Patch protection: 15 papaya fruits (can be noted)

75–81: Magic Trees + Palm Trees

• Magic: Patch protection: 25 coconuts (can be noted)
• Palm: Patch protection: 15 papaya fruits (can be noted)

81–99: Magic Trees + Dragonfruit Trees

• Magic: Patch protection: 25 coconuts (can be noted)
• +1 fruit tree patch unlocked at level 85
• Dragonfruit: Patch protection: 15 coconuts (can be noted)
