Preparing for the fight
Vorkath uses all three attack styles, but all damage can be avoided by using the appropriate prayer protection. If you plan on using ranged attacks, it's recommended to stand outside of Vorkath's melee distance as you will only need to pray for magic/ranged attacks..
You should be on the Normal spellbook and use the spell Crumble Undead for one of Vorkath's special attacks.
It is recommended that you use an extended antifire potion dose before entering the fight.
It costs 500,000 coins to enter the area (make sure you have coins in your bank so this can be deducted upon entry)
You will want the following items in your inventory: sanfew, antifire and combat/bastion potions, food, runes for crumble undead.
Gear recommendations
Note: on slayer tasks, you will want to use a Slayer helm, but if you are off-task you should use a Salve amulet. The offensive bonuses from both do not stack.
Melee
Scythe is the best option at Vorkath and will give you fast kills (under a minute per kill)
Use your best melee gear. Examples: Void → Bandos → Vesta → Oathplate

Range
For those without a scythe, the blowpipe is a great alternative and allows you to get kills quickly.
Use your best range gear. Examples: Void → Karils → Armadyl → Morrigans → Masori

Ranged Attack
This is Vorkath’s only ranged attack. It can hit high 20s, so it's recommended to pray range when this attack is incoming.

Prayer deactivation
The purple flame does not require any specific prayer, but it will deactivate all of your active prayers. Make sure to turn them back on after each use. You can do this by activating quick prayers.

Fire Ball
Vorkath shoots a red fireball into the air which is headed for your location. The explosion is 3x3, so move two tiles away from where you were originally standing to avoid taking damage.
Vorkath's Special Attacks
Zombified Spawn
Vorkath fires a white flame that freezes you in place and spawns a zombified spawn. Use the spell Crumble Undead to instantly kill the spawn. This spell will always kill it in one hit.
If you do not kill the spawn in time, it will hit a 60 on you.
Rapid Fire
Vorkath spits toxic fire around the arena and then begins launching rapid-fireballs at you. You can avoid the damage by continuously moving around the arena, or use the Woox walk technique to keep dealing damage while evading.
